To avoid any confusion regarding the Discovery, PLEASE read details below before booking this tour.

GRAND CANYON WEST should not be confused with Grand Canyon National Park (South Rim and North Rim), as it is located about 3.5 hours (driving time) away. Grand Canyon West (located on the south side of the Colorado River) is managed by the Hualapai Tribe. This land lies outside the boundary and jurisdiction of the National Park Service and is administered by the Hualapai Indian Tribe.

Maverick’s Grand Canyon Discovery flight departs from Grand Canyon West, an area of the Grand Canyon that is privately owned and operated by the Hualapai Indians. In order to take this tour, please note that this requires the purchase of a Legacy tour package (starting at $49.29) for entry into the park.

At the Grand Canyon it can become windy and the weather can change quickly. So it is important that you dress properly and are prepared for whatever the weather conditions.
In Las Vegas, guests will be assigned a pickup time and location at the time of booking. For a list of hotel pick-up locations within a 5 mile radius of the Las Vegas Strip. Guests will be transferred via Maverick Helicopters transportation.

  • Due to the nature of this tour and the safety of all guests, the tour operator reserves the right to refuse service to passengers who are intoxicated or show signs of intoxication; if, as a result, your tour is canceled, you will not be entitled to a refund
  • Due to comfort and weight / balance of the aircraft, passengers weighing over 300 lbs (136 kg or 21 stone) will be required to purchase an additional seat; this is payable directly to the tour operator on the day of the tour
  • The total weight of the helicopter cannot exceed 1,140 lbs (518 kg)
  • There is a maximum capacity of 7 people per helicopter, plus your pilot
